See Pipedrive and WhatsApp working together

Three short walkthroughs from the Whatsable team: the product, the install, and live chat inside deals.

See WhatsApp and Pipedrive working together: new chats become deals, you reply from the pipeline, and a bot can hand off.

What you get

WhatsApp that lives in the deals you already run

Keep your WhatsApp number

Whatsable is an official Meta Tech Provider. You keep WhatsApp Business on your phone. Pipedrive, the bot, and automations run on the official API.

New chats become pipeline

A first WhatsApp message can become a Pipedrive person and a deal. Nobody types the CRM by hand.

Sell from the deal

Open the WhatsApp thread from a deal or a person. Keep selling without leaving Pipedrive.

History next to the deal

Every chat can land as a Pipedrive activity, so the conversation sits next to the pipeline you already run.

A bot that hands off

The bot answers from what you teach it, follows up when a chat goes quiet, then passes the conversation to a person. Every line shows up in Pipedrive.

Zapier, Make, and n8n when you need them

Day-to-day selling stays in Pipedrive. Add Zapier, Make, or n8n when a deal stage should send WhatsApp and wait for a reply.

In the pipeline

When they write you, the deal is already there

A new WhatsApp message can become a Pipedrive person and a deal. The chat lands on that record. Your team picks up the thread instead of typing the CRM.

From that same deal, open the WhatsApp thread and keep selling.

The bot

It qualifies and follows up. People close.

Teach the bot your answers. It covers quiet chats, then hands off when someone asks for a person. Bot and human lines both land in Pipedrive.

Automation stack

Pipedrive for selling. Zapier, Make, or n8n for the extra steps.

Use the Marketplace app for live chat, capture, and history. Connect Whatsable in Zapier, Make, or n8n when a deal stage should send WhatsApp and wait for a reply.

A flow teams run

  1. A WhatsApp message opens a Pipedrive deal.
  2. A person or the bot works the chat from the deal.
  3. The deal moves to “Proposal sent” and Make, Zapier, or n8n sends a Whatsable template.
  4. A second message waits, and only sends if they have not replied.
Use cases

How teams use it

A new WhatsApp enquiry becomes a deal

Someone messages your WhatsApp Business number for the first time. Whatsable can add them as a person and open a deal. The chat lands next to it.

Outcome: No one types the CRM. A new enquiry is already in the pipeline.

Sell from the deal view

A rep opens a deal in Pipedrive, clicks live chat, and continues the WhatsApp thread. Templates and follow-ups sit next to the deal fields.

Outcome: Fewer tabs. Full context while they sell.

The bot qualifies. People close.

The bot answers from what you taught it, asks a few questions, and writes again if the chat goes quiet. When someone asks for a person, a teammate takes over. Both voices show up in Pipedrive.

Outcome: Reps spend time on ready chats. The bot covers the quiet ones.

A deal stage sends WhatsApp

A deal moves to 'Proposal sent'. Make or Zapier sends a Whatsable template, then waits. If they already replied, the next message does not go out.

Outcome: Pipeline motion sends the text. Engaged leads are not double-texted.

A team inbox with clear owners

Each teammate sees their WhatsApp threads in Pipedrive. Activity shows who sent each line — a teammate or the bot.

Outcome: Clear ownership. History a manager can read.

FAQ

Common questions

No. Whatsable is an official Meta Tech Provider. You connect your existing WhatsApp Business account, keep using the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, and gain API messaging, AI bots, and Pipedrive sync on the same number.

Messages sync as Pipedrive activities on the records you enable (Deal, Lead, Person, Organization). You can also open Live Chat from the Whatsable panel on deal and person detail views to continue the exact thread without leaving Pipedrive.

Instantly logs each message as its own activity. Every 10, 30, or 60 minutes groups messages from that window into one activity so long chats do not clutter calendars, while still showing timestamps and who (or which AI) sent each line. You can write those activities to the deal, the lead, the person, the organization, or any mix.

On a deal or person you see whether Whatsable is ready to send, which WhatsApp number is connected, and when you last wrote. Then you open the live chat, send a template, or schedule one.

Yes. Authorize organization-wide access during install. You can still restrict which conversations each rep sees via Whatsable assignment. Teammates who do not see the panel yet may need to authorize the app once in their own Pipedrive account.

You name the bot, tell it what you sell, and give it your FAQs or files. It can hand a chat to a person when someone asks, and it can write again when a chat goes quiet. You set how soon it follows up, how many times, and when it should stay silent. Bot and human messages both land in Pipedrive.

The native app covers CRM panels, activity sync, live chat, and lead capture. Zapier, Make, and n8n add advanced flows such as 'Deal stage changed → send WhatsApp template → schedule follow-up only if no reply'. Use both together for the deepest automation.

From Whatsable you can broadcast approved templates to chats with specific Whatsable labels (for example all contacts labeled agency). Delivery is paced slowly to reduce WhatsApp rate-limit and block risk. This is label-based in Whatsable, not a native Pipedrive segment picker.

Yes. The Pipedrive Marketplace listing offers a 7-day free trial, human support is available 7 days a week, and Whatsable provides free setup help via demo calls if you want a guided onboarding.

Whatsable can add them as a Pipedrive person automatically. If they do not already have a deal or a lead, you choose what to create: a deal in a pipeline you pick, a lead, both, or nothing. You set this once in your Pipedrive settings inside Whatsable.

You decide. Open a fresh deal in a pipeline you pick, keep logging the chat on the won or lost deal, or reopen that last closed deal and continue there.

Yes. The Whatsable panel on a deal or person lets you open the live chat, send an approved template right away, or schedule one for later. You pick the time and timezone, and you can add a private note for your team. You can also hold the send if they already replied, or if nobody wrote in the last 24 hours.
