You want WhatsApp automation that keeps your phone app and a bill you can explain. Here is how WhatsAble and WATI differ on unique contacts, Meta fees, coexistence, and what happens when someone replies from the phone.
Both WhatsAble and WATI publicly support Meta Coexistence: keep the WhatsApp Business app on the same number while you run Cloud API automation and a team inbox. That shared ground is not the wedge on this page.
The buy decision is billing shape and what happens when a teammate replies from the phone. WhatsAble bills on unique contacts with 0% markup on Meta message fees and names Chat Handoff when a human replies from the inbox or the Business app. WATI sells Growth, Pro, and Business subscriptions with messaging charged per the WATI rate card, seat add-ons, and automation-trigger meters.
If you need a scored shared-inbox rubric (roles, assignment, push), read the related blog post linked below. This page is the buy-intent money and ops hub.
Every WATI row links back to a WATI public page.

WhatsAble is a Meta Tech Provider product built for WhatsApp-led teams. You connect through Embedded Signup with Meta Coexistence so the Business app stays on your number. Messages sync between phone and inbox. About six months of 1:1 history can come over at connect; Groups, Status, and Calls stay on the phone.
Billing is by unique contacts reached each month, not by messages sent. Pro is $49/mo for 500 unique contacts with overage at +$12 per extra 100. Meta WhatsApp fees are a separate bill with 0% WhatsAble markup. Plans are Bulk Message, Pro, and Agency only.
When a teammate replies from the WhatsAble inbox or from the WhatsApp Business app on the phone, Chat Handoff switches that thread to Human Agent and the AI stops on that conversation. If you also run Make, Zapier, or n8n, pausing those automations on human reply is a separate filter from native Chat Handoff.
WATI markets a WhatsApp Business API platform with shared Team Inbox, broadcasts, chatbots, and plan tiers named Growth, Pro, and Business. Their pricing page repeats that message charges apply and are "Charged based on WATI rate card," with a link to view the rate card. Their help states Wati manages WhatsApp conversation billing for the WABA.
On Coexistence, WATI's help describes keeping the Business app and Cloud API on the same number, syncing up to about six months of 1:1 history, and enabling CoEx through their support team. They also document a classic Cloud API path where their pricing FAQ still mentions deleting the WhatsApp account linked to a number for non-CoEx onboarding. This page states both paths honestly.
For human takeover, WATI documents Assign User / Assign Team chatbot nodes and Smart Escalation that ends a chatbot when a customer asks for an agent. A named phone-reply auto AI stop like WhatsAble Chat Handoff is not found in the verified public docs we cite below.

WhatsAble Pro vs WATI Pro — integration path with Zapier / Make / n8n-class automations. WhatsAble meters unique contacts reached that month. WATI's public pricing meters seats, WATI rate-card messaging, and automation triggers (Growth 1,000 / Pro 2,000 / Business 5,000) — not unique contacts. Rows below show WhatsAble Pro public list platform prices. WATI doesn't publish base Growth/Pro/Business list $ on their pricing page — see wati.io/pricing.
| Contacts | WhatsAble Pro | WATI Pro |
|---|---|---|

Both products can use Coexistence. The monthly math still splits differently: unique contacts and two bills vs subscription, rate-card messaging, and trigger meters.
